NERONOTES

NeroNotes is the music mod of the Neroland ecosystem. It replaces the humble note block and jukebox with a family of dark, futuristic resonant blocks — matte black with neon glows that pulse when they play — driven by a new wireless resonance signal instead of redstone. Compose full tracks in the Soundforge, a dedicated creation dimension reached through its own teleporter machine, press them onto custom disks, and broadcast them in perfect sync from every player in your base.

1. Resonant blocks & the resonance signal#

A new set of programmable sound blocks in the Neroland visual language: deep matte black, edge-lit with neon that flares on every note.

• 🎛️ Resonant blocks — tuned percussion, bass, lead and pad blocks with unique futuristic voices (deep bass, high notes, low notes, synth textures).
• 📡 Resonance signal — a new wireless trigger mechanic on channels/frequencies, independent of redstone, that fires notes, patterns and whole tracks.
• 🌈 Neon feedback — blocks glow, pulse and colour-shift with the music.

2. The Soundforge (creation dimension)#

Step through the Harmonic Gate into a dedicated composition dimension: a quiet, starlit studio space with an oversized sequencer built into the world itself.

• 🎹 In-world sequencer — lay out patterns, layers and instruments at your own pace.
• 💾 Press to disk — save a finished composition onto a blank disk as a playable custom music disk.
• 🌍 Share — mark a composition as downloadable so other players can grab it.

3. Custom disks, players & base-wide sync#

• 📀 Custom music disks — player-made tracks as real items with names and glowing labels.
• 🔊 Resonators — the jukebox successors; chain them on a resonance channel and every one plays the same track in perfect sync, so one song fills an entire base or station.
• 🛰️ Disk Exchanger — a machine to copy, share and download other players' published disks.

4. Ecosystem#

• Requires only Neroland Core — config, materials, energy and the shared link API. No progression gates: everything is playable from day one.
• Soft synergies: NeroDecor (ambience), NeroEvents (event stingers), NeroLink (browse and share compositions from the companion app). None is required.
